Instagram Finally Allows Us to Switch Between Accounts Precedence Admin    /   Social Media

Brand managers and Instagram junkies all over the world are having a HAPPY DAY today as Instagram have announced that we are finally able to switch between accounts. And, it's actually quick and simple to set up!

This is the single feature that has made managing our own Precedence Instagram a massive pain in the butt. I'm so excited we will finally be able with use Instagram as a business with gusto.

(We don't mind if you follow us either, look for PrecedenceGroup, or follow our link.)

Step By Step Instructions

1. Download the latest version of the app.

This feature is only available on version 7.15.

I found I actually had that version installed, but had to completely close it down and reopen it to follow the other steps.

2. Go to your profile, and tap the settings button.

It looks like this

3. Scroll down and click Add Account.

It's right down the bottom, directly above Sign out.

4. Enter the username and password of the account you wish to add.

And... if you wait a second or 2 you can watch the old school colour shift.

Swap Between Accounts

Once you've got that set up, it's pretty easy to administer. Just go to your profile, tap the username at the top of the screen and click the account you want to swap to. If you are a massive Insta-aholic you'll be sad that you can only add up to 5 accounts.

Also notifications will be prefixed with the username to you know which account they've come through. It looks like:

It looks like: [nickyjurd]: That's a well wicked pic of your duck curry. You're making me hungry!

Get on Instagram

If you're not on Instagram yet, now's a great time to jump on board. The site is in massive growth, and has lots of benefits for business.

It's also free, and relatively unsaturated.

Do you want to know more? I'm running a workshop called Instagram for Beginners coming up in March. Would you like to come? Just email me.
